MSI MPG B760I EDGE WIFI Mini-ITX Motherboard | LGA 1700
Uncompromised Power in a Mini-ITX Footprint: Building a small form factor (SFF) PC usually means sacrificing power, but not with the MPG B760I EDGE WIFI. MSI has engineered a highly robust 8+1+1 phase Direct Power design with a 90A Smart Power Stage (SPS) and Core Boost technology. This ensures that even high-core-count, power-hungry processors-like the Intel Core i7 and i9-receive clean, stable, and precise voltage, allowing them to run at peak performance without overwhelming the compact board.
Advanced Thermal Design: Cramming high-end hardware into a tiny ITX case generates massive heat. The B760I EDGE WIFI combats this with an oversized, extended aluminum heatsink that covers the VRMs, drastically increasing the surface area for thermal dissipation. Furthermore, the motherboard utilizes a server-grade 8-layer PCB built with 2oz thickened copper, which inherently improves heat dissipation and system reliability. To protect your storage, the primary M.2 slot is shielded by MSI’s M.2 Shield Frozr, preventing high-speed NVMe drives from thermal throttling during intense gaming or large file transfers.
Next-Generation Connectivity: This board is fully equipped for the future. It features a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Steel Armor, providing up to 128GB/s of bandwidth to fully unleash the most powerful graphics cards on the market. Memory is handled by two DDR5 DIMM slots capable of extreme overclocking. For networking, it features a premium Realtek 2.5G Ethernet port for flawless, low-latency wired connections, alongside a pre-installed Intel Wi-Fi 6E module that taps into the 6GHz spectrum for gigabit wireless speeds in crowded environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this board support CPU overclocking? No. The Intel B760 chipset is designed for robust, standard performance and does not support manual CPU core overclocking, even if you install an unlocked “K” series processor (like the i5-13600K). However, you can still overclock your DDR5 memory using Intel XMP profiles. If you want to overclock your CPU, you must purchase a Z-series motherboard (like the Z790I EDGE).
- Where is the second M.2 slot located? Because space is extremely limited on a Mini-ITX motherboard, the primary M.2 slot (covered by the silver heatsink) is located on the front of the board, right above the PCIe slot. The second M.2 slot is located on the back side of the motherboard PCB.
- Will my older DDR4 RAM work in this motherboard? No. This specific version of the MPG B760I EDGE is built exclusively for the newer DDR5 memory standard. DDR4 memory sticks have a different physical notch and will absolutely not fit into the DDR5 slots on this board.
